RéserveGroup’s work with SPTO
South Pacific Tourism Organisation selected RéserveGroup to upgrade the graphics and visual presentation of their regional tourism portal under an European Union funded project in 2006 (the purpose of the project being to improve the promotion of sustainable tourism in the South Pacific).
As a web development and full service marketing company, RéserveGroup had the design, online and tourism experience to meet the challenge. The partnership between RéserveGroup and SPTO was announced in May 2006. SPTO sought the upgrading and redesigning of five websites within their tourism sector, using their existing content but creating a whole new look and feel. In addition, SPTO requested the design and build of nine totally new websites each dynamically promoting a niche South Pacific tourism product, including sites for cruises, honeymoons & weddings and diving.
Under SPTO’s careful supervision RéserveGroup used dynamic flash banners and interactive maps, improved layout and simple and intuitive menu structures to comprehensively overhaul the original sites and create completely new ones, crystallising their design features and promoting the uniqueness of each destination.
While the written content for each site was supplied by SPTO, RéserveGroup sourced the images, graphics and animations, optimised the sites for global search engines, simplified their backend workings for more efficiency and ensured the sites portrayed a strong and consistent marketing message to visitors.
